Merriman has been accused of choking reality star Tila Tequila Nguyen and restraining her from leaving her home according to some reports. Tila Tequila became widely famous after her show “A Shot of Love” in which she looked for love with male and female contestants.
Police received a call at around 3:45 am, and Merriman was taken into custody. Tila signed a citizen’s warrant arrest charging Shawne Merriman with beating and false imprisonment. The news in San Diego of Shawne Merriman arrested linked him to Nguyen as his girlfriend.
